NPR: What To Make Of The Alleged Jane Harman/AIPAC Quid Pro Quo

The democrats today have taken that party, that honorable party, down the roads of cronyism. Yet another alleged democratic crook.

About 5 crooks ago it became a laughing stock. Now it's just a sickening perversion.

Well, if it's on tape, let's hear it. This one is easily proved.

The Bush Admin's Alberto Gonzalez stopped the investigation for poltical reasons. They wanted Harmon as an ally in their illegal wiretapping activities....One criminal helping another.

Why didn't you speak up about Bush's crimes?....You'd have tons more crediblity.

I am not sure not prosecuting a crime is a crime?

Nice try but this scandal is about Alberto Gonzales just as much as it is about Jane Harman:

Major scandal erupts involving Rep. Jane Harman, Alberto Gonzales and AIPAC - Glenn Greenwald - Salon.com

"But the real crux of Stein's scoop is that then-Attorney General Alberto Gonazles intervened to kill the criminal investigation into Harman -- even though DOJ lawyers had concluded that she committed crimes -- because top Bush officials wanted Harman's credibility to be preserved so that she could publicly defend the Bush administration's illegal warrantless eavesdropping program."

Fail, Obama's positioned on illegal wiretapping trumped that attempt.

I'm not aware of any liberal poster here that supports Obama on his wiretapping policy. Many Democratic pundits and leaders have spoken out against him as well.

That's called being consistent.

Unlike you who was for torture and illegal wire tapping during Bush and is now only pointing out wrongdoing by Harmon because she's Democratic.

You're not for the rule of law...you're trying to score some 3rd grader political point.

Well guess what? Many of us knew what a loser Harmon was and spoke up about Harmon on this very forum.

This is my post Aug 07

This Harmon from Califorinia is one of the main Democratic culprits who cooperated and colluded with the Bush Administration's Neocon plans. Good thing she was passed over for a leadership position.

Just so I am clear, you know , from a consistency point of view, you were for Bush's deficits?

No I'm against deficits in general ....Bush shouldn't have cut taxes (which caused 1/3 of the defict) and he should have started that needless war ( which caused another 1/3 of the deficit)...I don't blame him for the decline of the stock market bubble which caused the last 1/3.

I am for deficit spending in the rare case of combating a deep recession. This is classic Keynesian economics.

No inconsistency whatsoever.

I would like to hear more of the evidence, but it seems she is as corrupt and self interested as any in the Bush administration. If I lived in her district I would vote against her in the Democratic primary and if she won that I would vote against her in the general election. All Bush era rats need to be out of there regardless of party affiliation.
