How ironic. Someone who supported wiretaps without judicial oversight is crying about her civil rights.

Allegations that Harman had made an inappropriate deal with a lobbyist for the American Israeli Public Affairs Committee, or AIPAC, first surfaced several years ago, but they were given fresh currency Sunday night when the Congressional Quarterly published new details on its Web site.

Not only that, the wiretap that she is railing about was obtained with a warrant!

Harman denied any wrongdoing and said she was outraged by news the National Security Agency had intercepted one of her conversations in 2005 or 2006.
I hope Jane Harman makes a big fuss. Obama should not have backed down to the Hawks on this. All they've bagged with this crap is Elliot Spitzer and some other up and coming political opponents. If Obama keeps it that's all that will turn up for the next 8 years. I hope she introduces a Bill and makes them fight if they want to keep their unConstitutional. Make her colleagues answer the roll call. We're better off without this for the same reasons we're better off without the torture. We need to fight our enemies, not become them.
