mutz you don't want to believe he was a human being? I really don't get it. What about the strong possibility that this job was beyond his abilities and he personalized it? What about mental illness that can creep up on anyone at anytime? Can't you wait for facts to come to light before you rush to these judgements?

Since the mods won't close this thread, I think all of you who want to joke about this, or don't believe suicide is a manifestation of mental illness should read this:

I'm sorry to offend, my posts are mere speculation. We may never find the "real reason" why the man offed himself.

And, I myself have suffered from depressive states too. I cannot say I know or must know what different people go thru, I never finished Phsych.1.

As for another poster wanting to close the thread? I kind of hope they keep it open. It's good to discuss mental issues. It's when you do not discuss them is where the trouble lies.

I see you've done some speculating of your own:

There are many possibilities why the man offed himself, he could even had marital problems.

So, let's keep this going. I can think of at least 1/2 dozen reasons why people kill themselves. I can think of at least 1/2 dozen reasons why people kill other people, and end up killing themselves too. One would be losing your home, and everything you've worked so hard for over the years.

Lady, this isn't water cooler fodder, this is open discussion of a plague.

Certainly suicide can be a sign of mental illness but there's as many reasons for suicides as there are suicides.
Why is it so hard to believe that a perfectly sane person wants to end their life? Because society says so? Because it's not "acceptable" or "appropriate" behaviour? Perfectly sane people do inappropriate things all the time.

mutz that speculation can go on indefinately was my point. I'll come back to this thread if more news comes up but I doubt we're going to see a depth story on this. Few journalists both anymore.
