how flippant so many of you are regarding a day that is meant to preserve & protect our planet. We as a nation are a very small percentage of the world's population yet consume a vast amount of resources and produce so much garbage and enviromentalism isn't a liberal or conservative cause but a responsible one.
One has to wonder why we tell pregnant women not to eat fish more than twice a week due to mercury levels in seafood. Humanity does have a impact whether it be on wildlife or even our own health.

The solution to pollution is dilution. Maybe we should start thinning out the herd of parasitically organisms infesting the planet

I guess you all saw the news out today that overweight people have a larger carbon footprint. Maybe on this Earth Day, we should beg Michelle Obama to push away from the table more often, lose some weight and reduce her carbon footprint......she'll be helping the environment.

I may do the same, just to celebrate Earth Day, although I will cut a few trees to use as firewood. I just cut the tree, scream "TIMMMMBERRR," and then cut 18" logs out of it

I catch and eat a lot of salmon for food, and don't worry about mercury, nor earth, the moon, etc.
