My fellow Kentuckian. tsk..tsk..tsk. What about economics and government do you not understand?

First of all, you best take a ride north to Canada, then while you are out and about, take a short flight to the UK (no not the Big Blue Nation), if you wish, while there, take the ferry to Norway, Denmark, & the rest of Europe.

Now, you be careful not to get sick or hurt on your journey because once you take your sojourn, I just know you'll come back home and realize just how wrong your current stance is.

I agree companies should not provide the health insurance, each and every person should buy their own.

If you ever want to get into a real open minded discussion about how foolish socialism is, I'd be more than happy to logically counter every emotional point you can make about socialistic governments. And I can do it with only one or two paragraphs.

BGF, what is your own personal point of view here?

I know in the past, you have had some postings concerning the difficulties in the auto industry, but have also had significant participation in discussions espousing minimal gov't involvement in day to day life.

So, what do you think is appropriate here?

Let's see here.

Government response to Hurricane Katrina - Incompetent. New Orleans and large portions of the Gulf Coast destroyed/underwater, total disaster, unable to evacuate the population that was waiting to be evacuated.

Government control of Social Security - Incompetent.

Government control of Medicare - Incompetent.

Government control of the 'war on poverty' - Incompetent. Causes more harm than good.

Government control of education - Incompetent.

Government control of our national borders - Incompetent

Government control of holding elections/counting ballots without fraud - Incompetent

Yeah, lets put the government in charge of even more of our lives since it is so good at everything else it is already in charge of

I can't believe how dumb some people can be.

You mean the Taxpayers should pay to cover all other taxpayers, don't you?

The great missing link to all socialist programs is very simply, if nobody wants to buy your product, then it has no value. Without value, there is no economy to support life and/or any government.
