Wake up folks and realize that politicians on both sides of the aisle created our current, repetitive good cop bad cop buddy system. There is NO difference between them. They are all political hacks in bed with big business and one another. All of them are playing the odd while gambling on how long it will take for us to self destruct.

If we ever plan on returning to a functional, cohesive nation, IT'S LONG PAST TIME FOR A 3RD PARTY AND TERM LIMITS in this country.
Absolutely!

No, it's not revenge. This is the way the far right reacts. I remember the exact same rhetoric when Clinton was elected. Limbaugh would open his TV show with "America Under Siege. Day 87."

The real answer is NO parties. That would force people to have to know more about a candidate than the letter after their name.
No we don't. This country has only 2 mainstream (accepted as legitimate and viable) political parties: Democratic and Republican.

Until the majority of American voters begin to lend credibility to and vote for 3rd party candidates en masse as an acceptable alternative, we will remain a country mired in said 2 party quagmire.

The problem is that our system is set up to favor theses 2 parties in every way from money to debates to media coverage.

Not. I voted for Bush and some of the things he did really got me angry. Obama has only turned up the heat on how stupid our government makes decisions.

I didn't say only the right does this. The far left is just as bad, but that wasn't what the OP asked.

So no, I didn't forget anything, conveniently or otherwise.

I thnik it just shows that this country is pretty well divided between democrats and republicans. It is really just a fact that democrats are not use to seeing republicans actaully taking to the streets in protest;and they have reacted with the fear mongering as seen in the homeland security memo. Its the same reaction we saw in the Nixon administrtion as to perceived threat but it really backfired when released as the Tea Parties were so unviolent.Als many people don;t see any difference in how Bush got elected than how Obama got his nomination.

The only real difference is Bush thought we should help big business & Obama thinks we should help the downtrodden. Neither realizes Americans should be free to help who they want with their own money.

I think it a great insult to Dr King to compare him with Obama. Barak aint worthy of shining his shoes.
I said the some of the things that are being said about Obama, were almost the same things that were being said about Dr. King in the last 3 years of his life (communist, socialist, etc).

Never heard of it, never read it.

But at first glance, all I see is a recap of (political) news articles. Yes, they are critiquing & criticizing Bush and his administration, but I don't think they are attacking him and calling for physical harm if they don't get their way.
Like I said before, the Repubs/Cons would not be that stupid enough to directly harm Obama physically. However, a lot of the code they are using, like Glen Beck's rants, these tea parties and "he's not a citizen and a socialist", these are stuff that were said (Thom Hartmann did a detailed show on this and he's not like a Randi Rhodes liberal) about Dr. King in the late 60's and we know what happened to him.
The republicans are really pushing the envelope, often.
