Exactly. First thing a hospital does if you don't have insurance, is sign you up for Medicaid. Most people don't realize this. They don't just turn you away and/or "let you die" as Stac2007 so ignorantly implied.

Hahaha, well if that's the spin du jour, then I guess it's another reason to be glad Obama shook hands with Chavez. Maybe he should have sneezed on him too.

Yeah, it's like reading the DailyKos or HuffPo.

I think it's saying that Obama may get swine flu b/c he was exposed. We are left to our own interpretations on the implications of this.

"The newspaper Reforma reported that President Obama, who recently visited Mexico, was escorted around Mexico City’s national anthropology museum on April 16 by Felipe Solis, an archaeologist who died the next day from flu-like symptoms. But Dr. Córdova said that it does not appear that Mr. Solis died of influenza."

I googled this, and not many news outlets are reporting on Felipe Solis. In any case, President Obama has a doctor with him all the time, who could treat him at the first sign of illness. I don't know why this seems to be so deadly in Mexico, but in the US, most of the ill have recovered or are recovering, and it doesn't seem to be any more deadly that the regular flu.

Moderator cut: rude! You really think the government is going to pay out tens of thousands of dollars in medical expenses if your survival in not expected? You should take a look at the U.K. health care system. A person will die in the waiting room waiting for Uncle Sam to pay up. It’s all about money, but Moderator cut: rude you don't quite understand that. The government would rather just pay for a wooden crate
