Read up on history. The Nazi cause was patriotism, serving the fatherland, going after traitors, hounding intellectuals, forming the Gestapo to spy on citizens, designating certain racial and ethnic groups as corrupt, inferior, and therefore a danger to the ideal Aryan family.

When I say Reichstag Fire, I am not referring to the same party that exterminates Jews. This new "Nazi" party could humiliate, deport, or incarcerate opposition members. I am speaking of the Nazi party before 1938, when they weren't making a science of turning Jews and Gypsies into lampshades and soap.
Hitler and Nazi Germany are all dead. Really.
There are no more Richstag fires. Today we live in a different reality. Hopefully extremists who see Hitler, Stalin and Satan in every corner can be controlled and our civilization, as imperfect as is, will prevail.

Are you sure you know what you're asking? The title of the thread is about the Reichstag fire, that event occurred in January, 1933 - five years before 1938. Do you think there was a difference in the Nazi party before and after 1938?
Lampshades and soap? The dead were burned. What the Nazis collected were gold teeth, hair, eye-glasses. Where do you get your history lessons?
