Revenge for a supposed wrong? Well, at least the comparison is close. Perhaps the guillotine should be brought back, eh?

Quote:
It's tough trying to please people who crave vengeance almost as much as Madame Defarge, the unsparing French revolutionary in Dickens' "Tale of Two Cities."

The Madame Defarges of the Democratic left want to see the guillotine flash down and heads roll. Specifically, they want to see the prosecution or impeachment of officials who approved enhanced interrogation techniques — torture, in their view.
I think I can understand, and in maybe some cases sympathize with the Madame Defarges with their grief about Bush, but I think it's all going a little beyond the pale. Kinda like a specific poster's obsession with all things Palin. She would be a forgotten episode of the 2008 election cycle, at least here, if the fellow would move on. Perhaps his obsession, though, is impossible to break? Po' baby.

At best, this is an obsession, at worst, a serious mental health issue:

Couldn't be nothing to do with the right wings obsession with what Bill and Monica were doing? It just plain sucks to be a Republicon these days, every where you step is a pile of _____ . (Fill in the Blank)

You just answered your own question, to get at Bush and the Republicans.

They really don't care about waterboarding as a torture, it's just a political tool. Barry has done nothing more than to weaken our defenses and increase the potential of attacks on our kids in the military and our neighbors here at home.

People lie when they try to portray themselves as above torture. If they needed to learn where a molester/killer was taking their child I'm pretty sure they would do what they needed to get that information, even if it was against the law.

Who? That is so last year, last century. He and she did what they did, I don't think about it, until a bonehead brings it up. Sorry you claim to be a republicon. What's a republicon, anyway? Did you take typing in high school? Oh, I get it now, you're trying to be cute, huh?

The torture memos IMO were the right thing to do to stop waterboarding as a means of interrogation, but it's unquestionable that the move was politically motivated to garner additional support in the polls. There's going to be a lot of nationalizing, socializing, and corporate fascism coming up. Best to elevate the approval numbers as high as possible before implementing these radical plans.

It seems that Soros will go to any length to get his power grab, even endangering the country. I guess Barry has his orders to follow.

Funny, screaming about future alleged violations of the Constitution while ignoring or worst sanctioning the real and present violations. Interesting set of priorities.

Ignoring or sanctioning what violations? I'm been vocal while Bush was in office on many forums.
