Report: Most Americans in areas with unhealthy air (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090429/ap_on_re_us/polluted_cities - broken link)

Seems those big Blue cities are bad for your health. I thought you sissy liberals were all environmentalists?

I like to refer to them as Bandwagon Environmentalists. It's a good talking point, but beyond that it's just another liberal farce.

Are we reading the same article? I don't even see anything in there about states, it seems to be broken down by city.

Quote:
Cities including Los Angeles, New York, Atlanta, Charlotte, Philadelphia, Washington D.C. and Baltimore have seen improvements in air quality over the last decade, the report said.
5 out of the 7 cities listed are in blue states.

Quote:
The Los Angeles-Long Beach-Riverside region of Southern California remained the metropolitan area with the highest levels of ozone pollution, as it has in each of the past 10 reports. Other metropolitan areas considered to have the most ozone pollution included Houston-Baytown-Huntsville and Dallas-Fort Worth in Texas.
2 of those 3 metro areas are in a red state.

Yeah, the article doesn't support your statement at all.

The keyword in that article is 'metropolitan', nothing to do with blue or red. Same reason you don't see Billings-MT or other similar cities listed there.

Well, your post pretty well got shot down already but why do you care...you're a repub, they don't even believe there IS pollution or, if there is, it doesn't do any harm.

If you thought that you've just swallowed a generous portion of buttwipe Neocon bigotry. Environmentalists are of every political stripe imaginable. Anti-environment types are usually the flat-earth-militiia-back-to-the-stone-age type.
