This so called press conference reminded me of a communist country where everybody knows that you have to please the leader or your job may be at risk. Even worse was what I saw happening on C-span today about the hate crimes bill. People are going to start being jailed because of their opinions on certain issues. Think I am wrong? I will agree that I cannot know for sure, but it has already happened in some states and congress is talking about a hate crimes bill that is based on opinions. Many senators today warned that the bill is unconstitutional. I agree with them. This bill makes freedom of speech and religion a thing of the past, if there is any freedom of speech and religion already.
The House is scheduled to vote today on the Local Law Enforcement Hate Crimes Prevention Act. The bill, also called the Matthew Shepard Act, would "permit greater federal involvement in investigating hate crimes and expand the federal definition of such crimes to include those motivated by gender, sexual orientation, gender identity and disability."
Hey, I supported the right of Fox not to carry Obama's press conference as it is their prerogative. I also said I would support Obama if he wished to ostracize Fox. While people will whine and complain but if I'm not mistaken there are no laws which state a President must answer everyone's question. You know, kind of like the Bush admin tossing Helen Thomas out on the street.
Now, I think it is pretty childish that Fox and Obama are going to take this route but who knows, maybe folks in the media will start asking real questions of depth and substance. Although I don't expect to see it from Fox, MSNBC or even CNN, being outed might just be the first step.
Oh thank you Hill Topper I'm so suprised you would blame both FOX and Obama.
Because blaming both according to your "ideology" makes you the "reasonable" person.
Never mind that FOX according to any objective standards is a higly partisan propaganda arm of the right wing.
I could literally give you a hundred examples of their distortions and lies.
But Obama should respect them and give them crediblity?......LOL
Why is Obama afraid of Fox News? Because he is scared they might give him a question which he is unable to answer due to his lack of experience? The people elected an empty shell. The first ammedment is only for the liberal left.

Did he take any questions from NBC? Because we all know how partial MSNBC is
Sorry but a President, on either side, should act like an adult and field questions, so long as they are good ones from either side of the political spectrum.
Did you really expect obama to call on them for a question? This was predictable.
Foxnews is the only outlet not slobbering all over themselves to get in the good graces of obama and his stooges.
Of course they will ignore Fox - to make a point - that if you don't tow the line and bow and grovel to obama and his ruinous plans for America - you WILL be singled out for their petty vindictiveness.
I have no problem with it, as I'm sure Fox doesn't.
It is something they can point to and dispel any notions of obama's supposed bipartisanship.
so long as they are good ones from either side of the political spectrum.
That's just the point. He knows Fox will ask a hardball, tough question.
All they want is the softball, "enchanted" ones.
