Fox not granted a question at Obama’s press conference

In tonight's press conference, Obama spent nearly a full hour answering questions from reporters, who represented media organizations such as the Detroit News, the Associated Press, BET, and all three cable networks -- ABC, NBC, and CBS
Think Progress » Fox not granted a question at Obama’s press conference.

Is this payback or just that FAUX NEWS as a non credible News Organization is just so irrelevant?

No, it's an example of cowardice. He only takes easy questions.

The Left's obsession with Faux News is unhealthy and a sign of serious obsessive disorder.

Like the Right's obsession about gay issues?

You might want to check that. It's the Left that's obsessed with gay issues. It appears the majority of the threads on gays were started by more liberal members of this board.

Well, I always say that most of the extremely anti-gay individuals are probably projecting their hatred because of some personal reasons. So yes they definitely have some serious mental issues.

Well, Bush was only too happy to take questions from Fox News and Jeff Gannon, the gay male prostitute. He also avoided real news organizations like the plague.

Obama faces all the real ones, and avoids the one that promoted the teabagger's bash and accused him of being a secret Muslim. Sounds fair to me.

Hey, I supported the right of Fox not to carry Obama's press conference as it is their prerogative. I also said I would support Obama if he wished to ostracize Fox. While people will whine and complain but if I'm not mistaken there are no laws which state a President must answer everyone's question. You know, kind of like the Bush admin tossing Helen Thomas out on the street.

Now, I think it is pretty childish that Fox and Obama are going to take this route but who knows, maybe folks in the media will start asking real questions of depth and substance. Although I don't expect to see it from Fox, MSNBC or even CNN, being outed might just be the first step.

It almost appears some in the press are afraid to ask Obama tough political questions about White House policy and decisions. Remember early in his presidency when a reporter asked him a certain question Obama quickly shot down the question and refused to answer. With so many press corps there's no way everyone can get a question asked. OK, ignore FOX news. But isn't it about time the rest of the press stop fawning over Obama and begin doing their job?

The article points out that the FOX News reporter was called on in the last 2 press conferences. The president gave long answers so it was impossible for all the news organizations to get their questions answered.
