I think the laws should be amended for two gays who want to share property ownership, if that is what they want to do, I don't see a problem.

But if I married my "boyfriend", I could adopt his child.

I guess you will never understand since you will never be denied these rights, or know the discrimination.
When the state government endorses a marriage, and assigns the couple a marriage certificate, it is not a right, its a privilege.

I have no problems with gays adopting children.

This is your normal routine, build up a straw man as the devil incarnate, and then go on a rant beating it up.

The TEA party has got nothing to do with sex, or sexual relations. You one trick ponies are funny to watch. The "racist, sexist, homophobe" one-trick-pony-brigade is always good for a laugh.

Ahhhhh....the ever-popular Leviticus 18:22......too bad this "holiness code" doesn't really apply to homosexuals, but to priests only, as its intent was to set the priests of Israel over and against priests of other cultures.

But this isn't a religious argument. Rights are based on Constitutional Law, not Biblical Law.[quote]

1) Where do you get that Lev 18:22 refers only to priests? Leviticus is telling what the rules are for the people.

2) It is not directly an Biblical argument, but since marriage is based on religious law, it is really. That is because the people voting for it largely base their marriage rights and wrongs on the Bible.

Are you 14 kinds of nuts? All we want to do is to have the gov't do what the Constitution says and NOT do what is doesn't say. In the great liberal ideas, no one should be rich because being rich is EVIL. We want to be taxed fairly - not some people pay 20% and others pay 37.5%. To the libs, that is fair, because they must have done something to coerse money from someone to get so rich. The libs sometimes say the rich should not be given so much money. So, it is OK to make, say, $20k a year, but if you make $300k a year, you must have stolen it? We do not want to beat our wifes - there are no women in the libs world, eveyone is a man - or persecute gays.

The libs, who always want fairness, don't mind hate crimes against whites and/or Christians, though.

Charles

Anti gay folks love to say how unnatural anal sex is between two men yet it's pretty much accepted in the straight community. Straight porn sites have a ton of male on female anal videos. Huge double standard. If anal and oral sex are a sin, then admit it's in both communities. Straight anti gay folks can't admit they are being sinners of the same degree if they are partaking in either activity (or having sex outside of making babies). Don't be a hypocrite and accept it in one community but not the other.

Even reading several verses before and after that one, there is no mention whatsoever of ANY 'sexual sin'. They were selfish and lazy and they treated visitors like crap. But they were NOT homosexual or 'masterbaters'.

That site is BS too. We don't know the locations, can only guess.
I'll get back to you on a better link

Sorry, it's been a while since I've read the story.
They THINK they found the two cities, are COMPLETELY unsure.

They were close to eachother though..

Sodom and Gommorah were disobedient because of sexual immorality and worshipping other gods.
Sexual Immorality has homosexuality in it'scategory.

Stop saying Tea Bag protestors (I'm assuming you mean Tea Party?)
Calling them this, is no better than them calling gays and homosexuals ******s.

and there are mentions of sexual sins in Ezekiel

Please don't send me biased website links, many people have been good about finding good sites, and I thank you, but the last one I received was biased....

Also, I'm can't really think of an arguement, it's 12:40, I'm tired, and can't remember the train of thought on this thread.... but....

If Democrats tried to rush a Gay Marriage Law (as fast as they rushed the Health Care) I'm pretty sure much of the US would be in an uproar.

I don't understand why the two parties can't get along, but honestly, why don't we let them get married?

Its un-natural, our civilization would end if we all were homosexual, I'm just hoping no heterosexual guys out there are like, "I'll save humanity!"

Religion- sexual immorality

Personal bliefs....?
Probably some questions of, "Why does that guy like that guy"

(Also see Charles' post earlier)
Where do you find Leviticus 18:22 is for priests?

Excuse me but a consenting gay couple CAN marry, as long as they are of opposite sexes, just like it is for Hetro's. Now it may not be what you WANT, but not getting what you want doesn't constitute and infringement of a right. There are no restrictions of rights in general America (military and some other extreme situations excepted) where mere homsexuality is a legal cause for discrimination. Homosexuals can marry, just not two of them of the same sex (which is exactly as it is for hetros). Pardon my repeating myself, but sometimes it takes repetition for it to sink in.
