eh, I'd say I'm generally to very liberal with libertarian top notes Although, more conservative when it comes to porn/sex industry. The odd thing is that most people assume on first getting to know me that I am whatever they are - conservative, liberal, whatever. Maybe it's because I don't tend to be a basher?

You must come across as very moderate, or easy to get along with (or both). I even sensed from your last post that you seemed very even-tempered.

Maybe it's because you say what you think they want you to say, regardless of what your views actually are.

Anyway...as to the poll. I already voted but I'll comment.

1) pro-life, though I support legal abortion in limited circumstances (moderate conservative)

2) I support reasonable gun control, though generally support the right to bear arms (moderate conservative)

3) I support gay rights and possibly civil unions, but not gay marriage (moderate conservative)

4) I support teaching evolution and philosophy. I also support teaching religion objectively. (moderate)

5) Poverty - we should focus more on education and job training, but limited welfare should still be available, though for very short periods of time (moderate conservative)

6) Pollution - needs to be addressed, but at the state, not federal level (moderate)

7) Violence - the CJ system needs to be reformed to focus more on true rehabilitation than on incarceration, a generally ineffective response to crime. Death penalty needs to be eliminated; this could also fall under the "injustice" category mentioned in the OP (moderate liberal I suppose)

8) Sex - The government needs to stay out of people's sex lives. Consenting adults should be permitted to do whatever they please in private, short of incest and possibly prostitution (not sure how I feel there). In addition, contraceptives need to be encouraged and made widely available to everyone and comprehensive sex ed should be taught in schools. (moderate liberal)

So...I voted moderate, leaning conservative. I suppose that best describes me overall.

I am ok with early term abortion. I am not pro gay marriage, I am anti institution of marriage. it's a man made institution. I am pro death penalty. I think we don't execute enough. if it can be proven beyond doubt that a person killed another person, they shoud be instantly hung in public. I also think that all manufacturing jobs that have been moved to other countries should instantly be brought back to this country and put into prisons. prisoners should work for their room and board while they REPAY their debt to society. not create more debt for society. imagine how cheap products would be if they were being produced by free labor in our prisons.

And the state could charge admission for tickets to watch the show! Why - it could even be a pay-per-view event on cable!

(thefinalsay is thinking, "Cool ideas!")

You should run for office, man. I'd vote for you. Seriously. The entertainment value would be high.

I should also mention....a "work camp" component should be added to all prisons as another poster suggested.

And I'm against attempts to legalize drugs, though I do support reducing penalties for drug offenses and focusing on treatment over punishment.

public hanging would be great. if you get to see it, you might think twice about pulling that trigger. I would also bring back the act of tar and feathering. guess that would go for a lesser crime.

I am for the legalization of all drugs. all keeping drugs illegal does is create a sub culture of crime. all drugs are legal anyways, you just need to go to the right doctor. drugs are kept illegal because you can't patent cocaine or weed.

Question...in your earlier post, you said "proven beyond doubt". Do you mean "reasonable doubt" as is the current burden of proof or beyond ANY doubt?

Because it would be impossible for anyone to ever be proven guilty beyond any doubt, regardless of circumstances.
