I know. Alaska is the most socialist state in the country. It's ironic that she made "that's socialism!" one of her most repeated phrases (in addition to "palling around with terrorists").

Most of the people who cry socialism don't know what it is. I'm a market socialist/mutualist (as opposed to a Marxist or communist), which is different from the stereotypical perception of socialism people have. Most don't even know what it is.

There's no pro-life, or pro traditional marriage options in the poll.

I realized I had forgotten abortion right after I clicked "OK." And traditional marriage = not checking the box for "gay marriage."

But you poll asks what we support, not what we didn't support. Theoretically, someone could be for gay marriage and against hetero marriage, or for both. You, yourself said that the poll had some surprising answers.

I support gay marriage, universal health care, progressive taxes, global warming curbing efforts, death penalty, and marijuana legalization.

Universal health care is the most important issue for me. I'm pretty passionate about the death penalty too. Sitting in prison for 10-20 years is unnecessary when a simple bullet to the head would do the trick.

I support gay marriage, UHC, global warming, and pot legalization.

Order of passion would be UHC, pot, environmental issues, gay marriage.

G'morning all!

I checked amnesty for illegal immigrants - not popular, I know, but you asked, and of course, global health care, as well as efforting global warming trends, but my support for that would depend on who's doing what, why, and how. I'd have checked affirmative action, since I don't subscribe to apathy, but that's not much of a description, and while I've always been an activist, I abhor violence, so again, it all depends on what I'd be taking action for. Not a terribly interesting post, I know. Sorry.

Mahrie.
