this forum is probably the most heated, even more so than the sports forums. has anyone ever had lunch, coffee, or something with a fellow poster? this isn't a thread to argue, just something to share stories about a fellow poster if you have one.

If anyone's headed to Las Vegas and wants to connect, I'm always open to an offer. Depending on who's asking, I might meet up for coffee or something.

really? I would be open to buying lunch for anyone who wanted to hang out. I don't care if they are on the left or the right.

L/R doesn't really matter to me, either. There's just some people here that I have no interest in meeting.

Ditto here. As I have said many times before, I never learned a heckuva lot from talking with people I always agree with.

Anyone passing through Columbia is welcome to let me know. I'll buy the Dr. Pepper.

I have met a number of people in person the last few years that I have run into on other boards, and all of them are wonderful regardless of their political views. Most of the people who post on open boards are above average in intelligence and usually have pretty good communication skills. I have been fortunate to have developed close friendships with at least a half dozen of them.

Say what you will about wasting time on the board. It still beats the dickens out of TV.

Is that the modern DP full of corn syrup, or the original DP with real cane sugar?

And agreed. I'm pretty sure your a crazy leftist, and I'm Conservative nutjob, but I'll rep you anyway, as an act of bipartisanship.

EDIT: It turns out I've rep'd you already and I need to spread some around. I was filibustered???

No problem. I'll have sweet dreams knowing you tried.

If we ever meet, we'll probably both find out that we aren't nearly the SOBs we'd like everyone to think we are.

But don't tell anybody. You'll ruin our reputations.
