LOL maybe it has something to do with accountability, double-standards, and ethics, by chance? I know that's alot to ask out of an elected official, but perhaps Democrats should give it a shot before they embark on a witch-hunt. All roads lead to home - in this case- Nancy Pelosi. But if you liberals insist, be prepared for her to go down in flames with the rest of the crowd. So what's it gonna be?

She will go down for not bringing light to the issue when she was informed; but it's a huge leap from not doing anything to stop the torture to actually authorizing and committing the illegal act. This may be too nuanced for you to understand but there's a HUGE difference... not defending Pelosi but you can't the person who stood by and watched the crime happen is not the same as the person who committed the crime.

Understandable in the civilian-world, but in politics, I believe you and I both know that the Speaker of the House shares some responsibility if she was in fact briefed on the use of "torture", didn't exercise her right to object until it was remedied, and then quietly stood by as it was happening. Pelosi shares culpability, and is in an especially precarious position if she wants to pursue charges against something she silently authorized.

Using your philosophy, first degree murder would never be used against someone who didn't pull the trigger in a drive-by shooting, but was in the same car. I believe you would find that simply to not be the case. Complicity is a bastard.

Also by the same logic, Al Capone hardly killed anyone. If others did it for him, he's not guilty.

CIA Says Pelosi Was Briefed on Use of 'Enhanced Interrogations'

By Paul Kane
Intelligence officials released documents this evening saying that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) was briefed in September 2002 about the use of harsh interrogation tactics against al-Qaeda prisoners, seemingly contradicting her repeated statements over the past 18 months that she was never told that these techniques were actually being used.

Absolute power corrupts absolutely. The Dems are headed for a hard fall.
