Amazing and scary. In Europe they are used to crazy taxes, lets hope it never happens here but it just may happen in "The Peoples Republic of Kalifornia".

I don't know if it ever happened but at one time CA was talking of requiring scrubbers on bakery smokestacks, seems the smell of baking bread contains many pollutants

I read the article in question and apparently it was an April Fool's joke done by the media outlet. So it states in the article printed the next day.
I was just wondering how in the world you could tax BBQ's but now outdoor fires. I mean it's basically the same thing right? Imagine the beach patrol in CA if this was ever an actual law
