Your article mentions nothing about pre-existing conditions. They will not cover it if it's a pre-existing condition, just like they won't cover prenatal care or any other condition relating to pregnancy if the pregnancy predates coverage.

They deny care based on whether or not the condition (in this case, pregnancy) is pre-existing.

First of all, there's no such person as a "pro-abortionist."

Second, last I heard, abortion of a 21-week-old fetus is against the law, unless the mother's life is in danger. So what's your point? Other than trying to shock people, I mean.

Read the entire article. Doesn't say anywhere that abortion is covered if the pregnancy was a pre-existing condition.

No, in most states the line is drawn between the second and third trimesters (27th week) or at the 23rd/24th week.

No Sanrene, this is you making a bunch of assumptions while wildly flailing your arms about. 21-weeks old is 5 months. The time period we all refer to regarding abortion is around the 6-8 week, somewhere around there. At that time, that is NOT a fetus, its a dot, a clump. There is a difference.

No state does it at 27th electively, most States are at 23rd/24th week, with other States restricting it to 1st trimester only.

I volunteered as an escort at a clinic that did late term, and the few abortions that late that I saw were usually very young teens who hid it from their parents until the last possible second, or aborting for fetal abnormality. Not an easy procedure, takes 3 days, is expensive and painful.

Only 1.1% of all abortions are performed after the 21st week. The vast majority (61%) are done prior to 9 weeks.
