Because....

1. I like discussing politics, and reading the pro-con debates on issues helps me figure things out.
2. To sharpen my debate skills
3. To voice opinions that I can't share personally (I go to a conservative church, but I'm not politically conservative)
4. Entertainment. Yes, some of the posts ARE priceless!

I must admit, knowing that I'll see at least a few idiotic posts every day brings me back. It makes time pass go by and it's great for laughs.

I post here mainly to enlighten the ones with blinders on.You can't always blame them though, because upbringing can create what they have become. Even if one person becomes a little more open minded and willing to listen it's a step in the right direction. Occasinally I learn something new as well. Alot of information makes us more knowledgeable and we should learn more and more each day.

I posted originally because some of the views were idiotic. I initially "enjoyed" the sensation of having my point of view posted. Then I learned from those who responded, however, much of that education was in the form of how hopeless humanity really is. Now, I post to offer solutions because obviously, arguing doesn't do any good. If you're not offering well-thought out solutions, you ARE the problem.

And if the responses to this thread are any indication, we will continue to argue...to no avail. Most are not in this for the solution to problems, they simply want to vent. Many (and they do seem to be of one particular ideology) want to actually hurt other people. They like being anonymously rude to people for whom actual face-to-face contact would require legal intervention.

That hopelessness I mentioned? It resides in the very real hatred most seem to have for each other, anonymously and otherwise. And nowhere better did I discover this than on this forum.

I post here to prove to the world what an ignorant and arrogant SOB I really am.

Opinionated, too.

But so what? I'm still cute as a bug's ear.

Why do I post on here....honestly, I really don't know sometimes. My blood pressure & anger can go thru the roof almost every time I'm on here. I guess I would say it's for entertainment, to see how others view things (which is very scary) & I get comfort knowing that there are others who feel the same way I do.

Boredom, I must say the level of stupidy, I mean really dumb posters seems so overwhelming that I come here less frequently than if there were some high quality good humored minds. I can dream can't I?
