In the past those who took action against military targets but didn't wear a uniform were considered spies and typically executed since the laws of war offer them no protection. These people have targeted civilians and the left want to read them their rights and get them a lawyer. Why don't you get them a book deal and put them on Oprah while you're at it?

I think that "enemy combatants" should be treated like prisoners of war. We're at war with them, we capture them, but we don't want to all them prisoners of war.

Anyone who fights for any nation while not wearing a uniform is a spy and is not afforded the rights we give to legitimate soldiers. The reason the world bodies that set these treaties up years ago did that was so that we didn't have civilians being killed because a legitimate military force couldn't tell who the combatants are and who the civilians are. If you break the laws of war, you don't get to claim the protection of those same laws.

So every prisoner of war in previous wars was captured in uniform? Is that your contention?

If they weren't wearing a uniform they weren't considered soldiers but spies and treated as such. The Geneva Conventions say that a soldier must wear the uniform of the nations whose flag he fights under and that is something these guys weren't doing unless they had towels around their heads.

We owe them nothing as far as international law is concerned but this clown seems to not understand that.
