The report, which cites individuals who sport certain bumper stickers on their vehicles as suspect, was delivered to tens of thousands of local law enforcement officers across the nation.
According to the relative, it happened this way:
Her brother-in-law was driving home from work through the town, which has a local reputation for enhancing its budget by ticketing speeders.
He was pulled over by police officers who told him "he had a subversive survivalist bumper sticker on his car."
"They proceeded to keep him there on the side of the road while they ran whatever they do to see if you have a record, keeping him standing by the side of the road for 30 minutes," she told WND.
Finding no record and no reason to keep him, they warned him and eventually let him go, she said.
I dont see this reported anywhere else.... the "article" is mostly an advertisement for a bumper sticker company.
Good enough for a wingnut who wants only to create FUD.
I'd add that, given the recent release of the Bush DOJ's report on the threat from the extreme right, these kinds of things should be viewed with suspicion.

Everyone needs to have their digital voice/video recorder ready to go when they see the lights flashing behind them, just incase. Otherwise, you can't just take this guy's word for it.
I'm sure TSA will be on the lookout for folks with recording devices, but patriots will always have the upper hand on the government. We can watch them just as easily (if not more easily) than they can watch us
Thank you Steve Jobs for letting us keep an eye on the Bush/Obama surveillance team
I love how conservatives are only complaining about this unfair profiling NOW. In 11 states just having a Led Zeppelin sticker is probable cause for a search. Also I don't recall the "don't tread on me" sticker being just a conservative slogan. As I recall It was a symbol of the american revolution.

I still think it is wrong.
I'd like to see the cite for the LZ bumperstickers. If so, no true conservative would advocate for such a ridiculous procedure.
You're thinking of liberal neo-con RINOs. Your Dem party can have 'em along with the other pro-war and pro-patriot act Dems.
The Politicans in power are scared of the tea parties and are trying to squash any and all who voice there opionion. At least Bush put up with marches and those who disagreed with him. Obama and company are out to get anybody with a different view than socialist. They hope good men will do nothing.

You mean like the guy who was arrested in a mall for his "Give Peace a Chance" tee?
Bush's supporters in law enforcement, including in Washington, DC, didn't put up with passive dissent, either. Not right, IMO, but not one-sided, either.
