Great article.

No, America does not need to be remade —- and it cannot be remade for the better by this untenured celebrity president and his cadre of cocksure radicals. Not in 100 days or 1,000 years. On the contrary, this administration promises to wreak all sorts of damage in just four.

Lots of opinion, many words, no facts nor substance.

The author doesn't like Obama. That's about all I got out of that article.

progressing to the point of pre 1776 policy? how is that progression? abusive government and taxation. sounds like regression to me.

They disagree with "remaking America" but they're happy to peddle a "new America" starring John McCain, Haley Barbour, and Jeb Bush.

I do not buy it coming from Republicans but the concept is correct:

“The National Council for a New America will engage with and empower the American people to develop innovative solutions that meet the serious challenges confronting our country. It is the right time to begin a thoughtful conversation about the future of this country.”

This is the same kind of rhetoric used in the article; no substance.

How are you being abused? I don't feel any abuse. Sure, some things like my vehicle registrations and property tax are a pain in the ass, but so are a lot of other things, like power bills and oil changes. Life's a b*tch.

How is the government not leaving you alone? Do agents knock at your door every day? Are they calling you on the phone? Do the cops stop you every time you pull out of the driveway?

Saying "leaving people alone" is the job of government doesn't even make sense.

From cleanhouse, quoting the newest (unless another came out this week) idea from the Republicans;
Quote:
It is the right time to begin a thoughtful conversation about the future of this country.
Let me guess what will be included in their "thoughtful" conversation:

Obama is a socialist,
He dared to talk to Chavez and Castro,
He's ruining "our" country,
He uses a telemprompter,
He used Dijon (FRENCH!!!) mustard on his burger,
We think his wife is ugly,
He spent too much on his inauguration,
He won't let our oil and gas buddies drill in national parks,
Socialist, Nazi, Communist, teleprompter, whaaah, whaaah.

But all of their complaints can be boiled down to one sentence: He kicked our butts in the election.
