Now Alan Keyes is in jail for "protesting" at Notre Dame. Actually he's in jail because he wants to be in jail, why else would he write a letter to his "supporters" stating his intention? Naturally he's protesting that they're going to allow Obama to do the commencement speech and give him an honorary degree.

He is way too obsessed with Obama. After the original R candidate got caught up in a sex scandal in the IL Senatorial election, Keyes stepped in to be the sacrificial lamb. No self-respecting candidate would step in, and the Rs looked on Keyes as perfect for the job because he was Black, just the D, an up and comer named Obama.

When he Keyes failed to win either the R party, or the Constitution party nomination for President (wow, what a party loyalist!) he formed his own party so he could get whacked in November. When that didn't work out he became a "birther", claiming the Obama is not eligible to be President. Naturally he has his own lawsuit going.

I know it's not right to laugh at the insane, but I'm seriously starting to have my doubts about this guy.

Good post Golfgod. Keyes hates himself. Now he will see that he stands alone.

All you have to do is listen to him talk for a few minutes and realize he's not all there. He goes on these crazy religious rants and he sounds more like a televangelist. I can't believe the Republican party of Illinois allowed this crazy from another state to challenge Obama for the Senate seat. I watched the debate on C Span it was comical since you had cool calm Obama and this guy spouting out crap about abortions, gays ,etc.
I don't respect Keyes especially since he has "disowned" her daughter for being a open lesbian. How do you disown your child? I could understand his reasoning if she was a cannabalistic murderer but a lesbian?

Alan Keyes used to be the Messiah for conservative Black Republicans (all four of them) In the seventies I think he really believed that the first Black President would be a Republican, He needs to do what George Wallace did Politically and just atone for his wasted past. It is funny how Obama has become the Nemisis for Conservative and Radical Blacks

All of you are hilarious in speaking the truth. He's a bigger embarrassment to us than Marion Barry. At least Barry can use the defense of being a crackhead

Poor guy... at one point I respected him because I thought he was a PURE conservative who stuck to his principles in all situations. In that respect, I thought his philosophy was predictable and based in logic, even if flawed. Now, he's just nuts.
