I could not have passed it either. I never wanted to be a firefighter but if I had, I certainly would have had to hit the steroids and weight room! There was no way in hell I could have passed it! Some people are just built to do certain task and others are not.
Absolutely not!
Women are only good for satisfying men and their needs; washing, cleaning, bearing children (if they want to or not).
Why would you want any woman to be more than a slave?
Take away their voting rights as well.
Waiving the usual job requirements for one group of people is wrong.
In the context of firefighters if someone wants all firefighters to be capable of lifting 'X' weight, then so be it. There should not be exemptions for gender.
I served in the US Navy, and my career was effected by instances of the normal requires being waived for females. At my last duty station, the next 3 levels in my chain-of-command were all females. They were all far junior to me in terms of time in the Navy, and in terms of time-at-sea. But those usual requirements had been waived for them, and because they were considered minorities they had each been advanced. I was an E6, my E7, E8 and E9 were all females; each with less time in the Navy, and less time at sea, than I had. They each admitted that they had been selected for advancement from among a large pool of 'qualified men', because they were in a minority status, and they were enjoying their accelerated advancement.
IMHO; to waive the usual job requirements for one group of people is wrong.
To then give them preferred treatment, or preferred advancement is likewise wrong.

That answers the title...lbut the gist of the thread is should the requirements be lower for women.
