I think adultery should be illegal, it causes permanent damage on couples, especially if they have children. Look at Jon Gosselin cheating on Kate! Why would he do that? They have 8 beautiful kids, he's going to ruin their family!

No. You cannot legislate morality.

Adultery is still technically illegal (though rarely prosecuted) in about 25 states. Shockingly, my state is not one despite our Bible Belt location.

Adultery should not be criminalized under any circumstances.

You can't legislate love.

Kate is such a battle axe and I'm surprised he didn't fool around on her sooner.

One of the most ridiculous polls I've seen in a while.

City-Data really brings out the best and the brightest, huh?

Making it illegal won't stop it. It's been going on for thousands of years.

It should also interest you to know that fornication is still a crime in a few states and cohabitation is still a crime in more than a few.

The control these states want over the people is astounding.

Well so far, it's only heresay & the paparazzi doing their usual "magic" saying that he's cheating...by the way, I believe there's an element in their of her cheating as well. I digress...no, adultery should not be made illegal. Why? Because no one is murdering anyone, & the only people that it truly directly affects are the two people involved. Yes, there may be kids involved but the bottom line is that only the couple are really directly affected by it.

Well, let's see. Your idea would create hundreds of thousands of jobs for Private Dicks, lawyers, prosecutors, prison guards . . camera sales would explode.

But we'd have to clear the prisons of marijuana dealers and users to make room for the adulterers, or create even more jobs for the construction trades.

Hell, in no time at all, someone would realize that it'd be cheaper to just build a razor fence along the Canadian and Mexican border, and then call this place the United States Prison of America.

Who's Jon Gosselin and Kate!
