I am talking about black on black crime. So much of it now. I don't know why. Just had a man beat to death by another man for some reason or the other. Some don't even make sense. Our city is not even that bad, like some others.
Oh, in that case, it is way worse now, especially if you are talking about cities. I'm in Baltimore and violence among young, economically-disadvantaged, black males over stuff like disrespecting someone's rep is totally out of control. Unfortunately with a failed educational, judicial, and city-government system, I don't know how it is going to get better.
And to those who might suggest that the parents are the answer if only they would get involved, I say good luck with that.

I couldn't live in the 1950's because I would have been racially excluded from those cool suburban houses. 60's was cool though.
But you just said this about an hour ago:

Did you just realize in the last hour that maybe the 1950s wouldn't have been so great for you?
No interstate highways and cars that were only sort of dependable at best. TV was black and white and you got only 3 channels.
Oh yeah god forbid any of us now actually have to WALK anywhere, or do something other than sitting on our a$$ watching our HI-DEF TV on 500 channels....Oh yeah things were just AWFUL then.
No the 50s were not any better. They might have been simpler for simple people but there was not much freedom. There was segregation and lots of abuse of women because they could not escape bad men easily. No interstate highways and cars that were only sort of dependable at best. TV was black and white and you got only 3 channels. And you had no rights really. Only in the last few years of the 50s did things begin to change for the better.
Many would consider less time in front of the idiot box (TV) and more time with the family to be a GOOD thing
Born in 1971 so I have to go by history. If you were a minority not so good but otherwise it probably would have been a much better quality of life and much more of your income you probably were able to keep instead of going entirely to bills.
