Probably so. I personally don't give a rat's patootie if people want to traipse around hoping to be crowned prettiest princess in all the land. It's not my life, therefore not my choice. I think it's stupid, so I don't watch.

It wasnt Trump making an issue out of what she said, the speech was right on.
Anyone who wanted to limit what she was saying was just wrong. It's that simple. She can say what she likes. But no one is required to like what she says or is prevented from objecting to or protesting about what she said.

What did Trump think was going to happen when he hired Hilton to be a judge? If Hilton hadn't put the contest on the front page like he did, who would care about the Miss Universe contest? Trump wanted publicity, he got it. Hilton set her up, raised the rabble when he got a fairly predictible answer and we're still talking about it. That's a great marriage between two publicity whores -- Trump and Hilton. And then Trump goes on like the kind father and supports the poor young woman who got used in this whole mess. But it will work out for her in the long run, one way or the other.

I had her picked as the winner that night......I had hoped she would win.
I think everyone of the last 5 should have had to answer that question. You could just read Hiltons face that he was setting her up. After she stated her thoughts, it was almost like "your done, ha"
Carrie should not have been the only contestant to have to answer this controversial question.
She was intitled to her opinion on the subject without a doubt.

Miss Homophobe is a liar and a hypocrite...the hypocrisy is obvious and remember when she claimed there was only one photo? Then what are these?

perhaps SHE was singled out for the question because she's from california.. where the issue was essentially 50/50 split... I think it was a good question
