Man, I wonder how long it's going to take the GOP to tell this guy to ****. You never heard from Dark Dick when he was VP, now you can't shut the guy up.

Analysis: Cheney attacks may not help GOP

[By STEVEN R. HURST, AP

To the chagrin, perhaps, of Republicans looking to rebuild the tattered party, Dick Cheney has grabbed the spotlight.

The recurring theme of the once-reclusive and largely unpopular former vice president: President Barack Obama has put Americans in danger of a new terrorist attack by promising to close the Guantanamo Bay prison and banning torture.

When Obama took office, former President George W. Bush went quietly to his new house in Texas, slipped intentionally into anonymity and honored protocol by staying silent about his successor.

But Cheney, widely remembered for heading to undisclosed secure locations at times of national crisis and for working invisibly behind the scenes, has done just the opposite.

Most recently he took a shot at Colin Powell, Bush's first-term secretary of state, a retired Army general, former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and lifelong Republican who endorsed Obama's candidacy.

I LOVE the fact that he said he'd choose Rush Limbaugh over Colin Powell. He just totally marginalized the Republican Party. It'll take them years to be a viable political force now. It's almost like he's trying to sabotage the GOP.

Yes, isn't it funny that the guy nobody EVER heard from when he was the VP(acting President) is blabbing away like a crazed parrot !????

Sounds like a red herring, something to hide, diversionary tactics, desperation by the Repubs who have NO decent spokesperson or leader,

take your pick....

But to what purpose? What do you think his goal is?

He reminds me these days of an old man on his front porch, yelling and stamping his cane at people passing by.

Most likely it has something to do with his businesses or he may blame the GOP for making him look like Darth Vader. Just theories. What do you think?

Maybe he's being paid off by the DNC? Just kidding. I have no idea, but I hope he keeps it up.
