Strange as it may seem, someone, somewhere (I'm guessing a righty radio head) wanted to hear what "Gonzo" (we need a different nickname for this dirt-bag, it's insulting to the memory of Hunter S. Thompson) showed up on air today to voice his opinion (I'm guessing he called Bush, Cheney or Rove first) on the SCOTUS nominee and "empathy".
Quote:
Well, I think everyone wants to think that their government officials are kind, compassionate people. And I think someone having that kind of image is certainly helpful in a confirmation hearing. I do worry a little bit, well, I worry, I worry about about justices on the court making decisions based on what they think makes them feel good. I don’t think it’s fair to expect society to anticipate the outcome of a case based upon what makes a justice feel good. In essence what you’re saying, I think, is that "I’m going to, I don’t care what the law says, I’m going to come out, I’m going to pursue an outcome that I think is fair and just. I’m going to rewrite the law." And I think that’s dangerous.

What he really means is that it's dangerous to judges to make calls without first calling Rove and asking him what to do.
Go away 'Berto! Wait for the US Marshalls to show up and escort you to The Hague.
Mrs G just pointed out that he was on NPR, hmmmm, I guess NPR isn't that "devil's den of lefties" we've all been led to believe.
And before any of you start in on me, just do what 'Berto should've done, consult your Mirriam Webster or other reference and look up "empathy". What a moron.
