very happy with him and the honeymoon goes on! I don't think the rightwing understands that so far President Obama is not some extremist but moderate in what he has done so far. Of course it remains to be seen and with a 60+% approval most of the country agrees.

I'm happy with him.
Never expected perfection either.

Motion,
Bush created the biggest increase in government in decades with Homeland Security and the contracting out of services to Cheney's buddies at Halliburton and its subsidiaries.
Don't let that fact get in your way because it doesn't meet your agenda.

That's my answer, too. Plus, he'll have eight years to fufill those promises, I'm actually rather impressed how many have already been checked off in just a few months.

I'd like more but then when you consider the alternative, I'm happier than I would haven been.

And to the op, he didn't make promises only to the left, he made them to the United States of America and its citizens.

I don't think he felt the need to divide like the last guys.

That's called flip flopping.

So it is ok for all of you to judge his Presidency in 4 months but when there is critisizm its always "too early to tell". I think I saw that phrase once on this thread after the poster said how happy they are with him.

Yeah, it cracks me up when folks on the Right act like Obama has somehow suddenly switched from being a Far Left-Wing person to someone more in the middle. The fact is, he was NEVER as Left-Wing as the Right made him out to be - that was pure political BS meant to paint Obama as some kind of radical extremist - just as they ALWAYS try to paint the Democratic candidate. For the most part, the only people to buy into that propoganda were Right-Wingers themselves. Most people in the middle never bought it (that's why they still voted for him) - nor did all the people on the Left (some yes, but most - no).

Then the after the election the Right-Wingers are surprised when Obama governs more from the middle.

Well - DUH!
He's governing more or less as I expected him to govern.
I'm not the slightest bit surprised - nor displeased.
Do I agree with everything he's done?
No, but I strongly agree with MOST things - and in the final analysis that's all you can reasonably expect from the person you voted for.
