If the burglar is armed and you're not, why would you fight? If you're both unarmed, then it's a fight to the death.

They may be unarmed, but they will arm themselves with a whole team of ambulance chasers if they get robbed with that sign on your yard. Unfortunately, they will probably win also.

Cause it's MY property? If you're both ARMED, it's also a fight to the death. Course, now, if you're being burgled by an unarmed burglar and you catch him in the act, well, I rest my case.

Technically, even in "redneck" NC, you cannot shoot a burglar who surrenders or tries to flee. Only while they are breaking in or they pull a knife/gun on you.

Of course, I have a fingerprint free knife and some gloves available just incase I get a lil' trigger happy with an intruder. Nothing like planting evidence to save your bacon!

Nope, the one the gangster instinctively wants to make a fool of.

If I were to have one of those signs, and end up shooting a burgler...would I be in trouble for shooting over bait?

Only if using an electric call, singing a song would be ok.

If you come into my house, you are going to be shot. I don't give a damn what the law says. And I will make sure you ain't around to tell your side of the story anyway.
