I came up with this question after I saw a few women telling men that their opinions on abortion don't matter.

I'm not sure who has it better, to be honest, but I'll look forward to your responses.

Women are denied urinals in public restrooms.

Well, they're trying to take a woman's right to choose away from her.

Yes, but a person's rights only extend until they overlap the rights of another person. The real question is at what point does life occur. If it's before birth, then a women's right to choose doesn't exist at all, because that would compromise the child's right to life. If life doesn't 'count' until birth, then no rights have been violated, and women have every right to choose.

Note: In order not to hijack this thread, I've not stated my position on the issue, simply laid out what seem to be the two most viable sides of the argument.

It's legal in the US; if a fetus is not viable, it is not a child. Pretty simple, actually.
It's between a woman and her doctor.

Someone said they didn't want to hijack your post by stating an opinion on abortion. I think you already did that by mentioning this highly controversial subject in your OP.

I think the problem is that there are really two issues. One is moral and one is civil.

On the civil side, I don't see how the State can weigh in on the rights of someone not even born yet. On the moral side, obviously this is a life started at conception viable outside the womb or not.

So morally abortion is very wrong but civily the government should not regulate it. The decision is between the woman, her physician and her family.

As far as morality is concerned, the decision is between the woman and her maker. Right or wrong she will have to answer to a much higher authority.

I'm sure there are certain laws you'd like to be changed as well. You have a right to support the laws you like and support changes to the laws you don't like.

We have the same right. PERIOD.

With 13 votes in, it looks like we're amazingly evenly divided. Six say men have it better and six say its women; only one says men and women are equal.

What are the chances that almost all of the men think that women have it better and almost all of the women think that men have it better?
