Raising the fuel economy standard will be the mid term fix for oil prices. The long-term fix is getting off petroleum based fuels.

You blinked.

Oil prices and gas prices plummeted. So you shut up for a while and now are back when they go up. keep cherry picking those data points. I know I will never convince you, I just take heart in all the people that rep me when I logically oppose your rants.

For what other purpose do you think they are in business? You think oil company investors are good Samaritans and civic-minded magnanimous public benefactors who have dedicated their lives and their fortunes to ensure that people have motor fuels?

My depression lifts everytime I pass a gas station and see the price go up and up and up again. Never enough for me. Why oh why, when it was at $4 a gallon, we didn't freeze the price and never let it go back down from there?

I'm hoping this summer we hit all-time highs of $6 and $7 a gallon.

But I'm a dreamer. Dreaming of long lines of protesters demanding: Light rail forever! Road construction funds turned over to mass transit!

Funny how prices dropped like a rock as we entered the Bush Depression and people cut back on their driving.

Just as his cap and trade is .

Link to that? Obama's actually refused to consider a floating gas tax, which would keep the price at $3.50 to 4.00 per gallon.

Sounds like a made up story to me.

The Bush depression that Democrats controlled. Raising fuel economy will only further drive jobs out of this country, as it will add huge costs to the already struggling car companies. I guess thats what all the supporters are for though, ending America because we are a plague to this earth right? I don't know how all you Al Gore doomsdayers live in the utter fear you drive yourselves to...
