We all have a tendency to want to neatly wrap something up in a term. The truth is, there are poor, mediocre and outstanding elements to the Canadian Health Care system.

Absolutely. NO one said we had to fully adapt their system.. we certainly can look to it... take it's best parts and combine it with other ideas.

But it doesn't restrict access to quality healthcare, based on the premis of being able to pay for it. There is a standard provided, it is on par with all other industrialized countries.. including what we have here in the US.. which costs us our first born to have access too..
Your rhetoric is tired, and unless you have some sort of enlightening experience with a system outside of the US.. I'm going to assume you're just an ignorant troll on the issue....
After seeing this person in action for a few months, I am inclined to agree.

No doubt there are mediocre elements and OUTSTANDING elements, but it doesn't tell the whole story. Though from the past, I can see you like to come to simplistic generalizations - life is so much easier that way.
I understand that the US system needs to be fixed but it has to start with costs, not coverage.

And another thing. The article talks about how Canadians look down on us for our social inequality. I have one thing to say to you:
Humans are not equal!
No matter how hard socialists try to make everyone equal, we are not.

The thing is managing the types of healthcare systems they have in Europe is more complicated than many Americans know. The French system could go bankrupt unless their reforms work. The UK's NHS has debt problems and 50% of Japan's hospitals have deficit problems. Like I've mentioned before we Americans definitly need to have accountants in on designing our new system so that our system can be sustained over a long term.
