After the Gitmo photo scandal and the pro-WAR + pro-patriot act policies of the Democrats, I highly doubt it.

pwned is the "fat finger" version of owned. The originator of the term likely misspelled the word.

wiki "pwned" for further information on the etymology.

Another famous saying used in general language is "all your base are belong to us", usually when insulting someone who naively believes they are in complete control of something.

I've always got the feeling that these women are just attention whoring. Their cause is meaningless to them because they never do anything effective to promote it. They come across as unhinged.

************************************************** ********

If you try to Google "protests under G.W. Bush," the first five entries consist of 3 about protests in Calgary (Canada, folks) and the other two are about protest songs. If memory serves me, people who wanted to protest when Bush or his cronies spoke were barricaded several blocks away. (This is not to be confused with G-8 protests). Two young men who wanted to organize a peaceful protest in Missouri were visited by the FBI. Freedom of speech and the right to peacefully gather and petition the government for redress also suffered under the last admin. These women were in-your-face; I might understand ovcatto's original point about appropriateness, I cannot help but agree with odanny...the squeaky wheel gets the grease. They speak for millions.

I can understand what people like ovcatto want to do. They want to hush up the "radicals" in order to keep the Democrat party unified and in control. Unfortunately, that dog just ain't gonna hunt. These people will find homes somewhere outside of the pro-WAR Democrat party and calls of "where else you gonna go?" will go unheard.
