I recall a conversation during a USA "documentary" on Hitler:
Goebbels: The prisons are filling up. We can't try these people and we can't release them. What do we do? Hitler: What about those camps?
Oh yeah, this wasn't about Jews in '33. It was tailored only to domestic "terrorists" at the time, usually German citizens.
Wow, sure am glad we got rid of Bush and Cheney. Nice job lefties! Next time try not to believe everything a politician tells you during a campaign. Obama is a far worse threat to the Constitution than Bush ever was. Everything this guy has done since taking office has been a power grab. I don't trust him and neither should you.
Only in America could the thought police be active, detained because you might be trouble. That sounds like old Russia, or should I say Obama's new Amerika.
Change you can believe!!! Better or Worse we will see if we survive.

Ya know, it helps to actually read the bill and understand what you're reading. What it says is:
Quote:
5 (2) may declare a cybersecurity emergency and
6 order the limitation or shutdown of Internet traffic
7 to and from any compromised Federal government
8 or United States critical infrastructure information
9 system or network;
Note that it says Federal Government or United States critical infrastructural information system or network. It does NOT say anyone could 'shut down the internet'. For anyone who wants to see the bill, it can be found here, with what I've copy and pasted being on page 44: http://edge.networkworld.com/graphic...ity%20bill.pdf

The internet is the property of the U.S. government you know...that bill means precisely what people are worried about...

And some were saying we're paranoid and crazy about worrying about those camps the feds have given contracts out for...and then add in the DHS reports on who are "terrorists" and "extremists"...well, if this keeps up, I wasn't so far off when I said the next Hitler was elected...
Really? So my email account or even this debate forum would be considered "critical infrastructure" systems and networks? I don't think so.
The creation of the internet was a government project...yes, they do claim a "right" to shut it down at will, the same as they can do to GPS. Do I agree with the government on that? Not at all...
