WEll, your MESS-iah is opposed to gay marriage and your brainwashed liberals say nothing. Miss California says it, and suddenly you wont shut up about it.

Sorry. I was refering to the fact that this isn't "suddenly" an issue. It's been an ongoing battle for years.

It has never been illegal for gays to marry in the U.S.

There's church, there's common law - What is the problem?

I got married in a church.

I really don't want the Government to be part of my marriage.

It's none of its business.

Why don't you conservatives get it?

I (and other liberals) have stated over and over again that meanwhile we support Barack Obama, we do not agree with his stance on gay marriage.

I support Obama-this is just one of the things I disagree with him about. If Obama and I were in the same room, I would have no problem telling him I disagree and debating him about it.

And good to know he is your Messiah.

I never understood the "Messiah" thing. I don't love Obama, he was just the best choice this time around.

Atheists need religion too.

Religion is irrational.

Why do you want to get married so much, to get the divorce lawyers rich? Be careful what you wish for.

Yes, you did. I've personally pointed it out to you at least once:

"Marriage is one of the "basic civil rights of man," fundamental to our very existence and survival.... To deny this fundamental freedom on so unsupportable a basis as the racial classifications embodied in these statutes, classifications so directly subversive of the principle of equality at the heart of the Fourteenth Amendment, is surely to deprive all the State's citizens of liberty without due process of law. The Fourteenth Amendment requires that the freedom of choice to marry not be restricted by invidious racial discrimination. Under our Constitution, the freedom to marry, or not marry, a person of another race resides with the individual and cannot be infringed by the State."
