That's your perception - I see it leaning towards liberals.
I was just looking at your poll on "Where do you fall on the political spectrum?" The responses are divided almost completely 50/50 between liberal and conservative.
Blacks and gays are the most protected groups in the country right now but it's open season on white Christians, male and female, and white males in general.
Take a look at some hate crime statistics from the FBI. These are from 2004, but I think they're still a good representation of what's happening in 2009:
Anti-Protestant victims: 48
Anti-Jewish: 1076
Anti-White victims: 1027
Anti-Black: 3475
Anti-Heterosexual victims (includes both males and females): 36
Anti-Male Homosexual: 902
Anti-Female Homosexual: 212
Anti-Homosexual: 314
Anti-Bisexual: 18
That last set of numbers shows that, combined, homosexuals and bisexuals were 40 times more likely to be victims of crime based on their sexual orientation than heterosexuals. If blacks and gays are the "most protected groups" (according to you), then to me, I'd say it looks very much justified - and maybe they need even more protection.

But shockingly many, many "centrists"....surprising given the rigid liberal vs. conservative arguing that goes on here.
Well, maybe you and hula are right. A public poll would be interesting, although I do believe the results would be less accurate. Maybe after this thread dies, I'll start a new one with a similar theme and a public poll.
What is interesting is that your results may give insight into the motivation of many thread starters in the forum.

I do find it interesting that the posters who are the most anti-gay are often the ones who start the gay-related threads and make the most comments about them - and then they complain that there's too much "gay talk" on this forum.
the hate gay vote has moved up by 5, so now added to the hatee black vote we have a total of 18 proud haters without enough stones to show their face.
