Only thing I've ever heard Clinton blamed for is his failure to deal with terrorism DURING his term. He took virtually no EFFECTIVE action during his term, and appointed folks like Jamie Gorelick at Justice who impaired cooperation between law enforcement and intelligence, creating "walls" and leading to the confusion that caused 9/11.

Of course the other big failing that he deserves to be criticized for was his failure to keep it in his pants and lying under oath and lying directly to the American people on TV. Regardless of whether the cause was "personal" or not, his integrity is certainly suspect.

Bush deserves likewise criticism when HIS policies were to blame for events. However, let's not blame Bush for the failings of Democrats in Congress like Bahney Fwank and Chris Dodd.

I believe there is a very strong possibility that he will be given a free pass right through his first term. History will NOT be kind to his presidency after all the facts are in and we are paying for his restructuring of government for DECADES to come.
Well, the repub answer to EVERYTHING , "But Clinton",is still ringing through the air at every opportunity so hang on to your hat and buckle up!

Blaming bush for his gross mishandling of this country may stop when we've had time to repair all the damage he did.....until then WHY NOT blame him for HIS ACTIONS!!!

Can't he handle PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY for his OWN ACTIONS????Can his followers?

Gee! I wonder why repubs want everyone to forget BushCo as quickly as possible????

How Long Will We "Blame Bush" Be Accepted

Among the 'blame Bush' crowd the 'blame Bush first' mantra will always be appropriate. It's the donkey Obama rode in on, his badge of honor, his raison d'etre. If there were no Bush, there'd be no O. The Socialists democrats will go to their graves with imagery of blame Bush seared on their brains, ala the Kerry-Heinz malady.

For those who do not carry that 'blame Bush' weight for Obama the acceptance of that mantra is not a question as much as, well, a goat with a donkey's tail pinned on it. A kindergartner's game, an affectation, tolerated along with the children.

Prosecution/conviction of a number of WTC attackers wasn't effective action?

The USS Cole was attacked under Clinton with no time for investigation/retaliation. What did Bush do?

NOTHING!

While I don't condone adultery and think he's a sleazeball it's also something that isn't anyone's business but the involved parties. he lied to questions that should not have been asked while pursued by a hypocritical, adulterous, witch-hunting Newtie boy.

He forgot, he should've used the right's favored defense: "Well, I don't remember" , a proven pass for treasonous acts.

Dude, people are still blaming Reagan for everything wrong with the world. This can go on forever. And probably will.

Sorry you all aren't smart enough to see Obama has played you.

why is it that the losers are always the smart ones? If they can't figure out how to win maybe they aren't that smart? Maybe the one who got played are the losers as they are the ones who lost. A victory not won is not a sign a smartness but rather a losing hand. So yes we who have been played will relish and enjoy our hand as it was the winning hand. Remember people love a winner and admire how they played the game. That is the essence of competition victory and are desire to worship the victorious. Sorta like the President creating all of the sport championship teams. We love winners and how they play their game.
