Because Israel is one of a few countries which are loyal allies of the United States. Why would we turn our back on them?
Because it comes at an enormous price! And besides, Israel has nothing worth exporting. After all, Jews do think in monetary value, and it is surrounded by oil rich nations.
they dont need sanctions. they need a red eye to louisiana tonight. much cheaper to put the israel nation on welfare there than house them in the mideast.
besides too many people leech from them and then blame them for everything.
Isn't it interesting to remember how Russia and East Germany were condemned for the Iron Curtain, yet this is precisely what Israel is building to separate Palestinians and Jews.
Because the Middle East is strategically important and real allies in this part of the world are few and far between. The existence of Israel (controlled by the US indirectly through aid) also divides the region, keeps it unstable and prevents Arab nations from consolidating and becoming too powerful.
We love Israel because Israel is useful to us, not because we have warm fuzzy feelings for Jews or because of secret conspiracies.
Also, Israel invented UZI's and Desert Eagles. What would Hollywood be like without these wonderful guns?
Because Israel is our biggest most stable allie in that region unlike the Arab nations who are fair weather. It is strictly a strategic move on our part..nothing more.
