For the first time, the Association of Vietnamese People of Southern California allowed LGBT Viets to march under the rainbow flag, in Westminister's annual Tet parade, in Little Saigon:

This gesture of acceptance by a traditionally conservative community of its gay children is just one more step in the liberation of gays across the country.

And another indication that a formerly reliable GOP voting block in OC (one of the last bastions of CA conservatives) is becoming more socially liberal, as the war generations pass, and their kids and grand kids take over

What is happening in the Vietnamese community in Southren California is what is happening in communities all across this nation. For parents to ostracize their children because of the pressue of intolerant "morality a**holes" is absurd.

Not only that, but since 2010 Archie Andrews (you know, comic book Archie), Betty, Veronica, and Jughead have a new pal - Kevin Keller - and he is openly gay! Kevin was elected the be the student president of Riverdale High!!!
