Barry has showed his true colors in his SC pick. Ms. Soto ruled, a few years back, that Americans do not have a constitutionally guaranteed right to bear arms. I think this case is up for the Supreme Court soon.

Oh, and I heard a little rumour: She's on the board of La Raza.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I smell blood in the water and say she can't be confirmed.

Funny how Barry figured she was a shoe-in because of her sex/ethnicity. Bwahahahaha.

I'm going to start popping some corn now.

The value of my AKs has dropped significantly over the past couple of months. We'll see if this nominee causes another rise in them.

Wow. Really? My husband has a few of those in his collection (I think...I don't know much about guns) and he has been telling me how much his general collection has gone up in the last year.

I imagine even if they are outlawed state by state, you can still sell ones bought legally previous to new bans. Wouldn't that make yours go up in value?

I admit I'm out of my league talking about guns....just was surprised at your post after what my husband has been saying.

Please post a link to this ruling. All that's come out so far is a paper she wrote in college 35 years ago.

Enjoy!
You asked for it:

In a 2004 criminal case, U.S. v. Sanchez-Villar, a three-judge panel that included Sotomayor wrote that "the right to possess a gun is clearly not a fundamental right."

I'm sick of high gun and ammo prices. People are scared, which is what is the root cause of that particular boom, and too many businesses are profiting off it. Everyone should have their emergency cache by now, so all shooters need to just chill out and stop buying until the prices return to reality.

I'm sure the Obama crew will try to push some facist regulations through, but not in the next couple of years at least...and maybe not at all thanks to a strong and loud opposition. Also, the supreme court is not likely to overturn itself just because they are getting a new judge.

So stay loud but don't panic, and don't buy from dealers that gouge. Problem solved.

Unfortunately, that's disinformation.
The case was about a crack dealer, and an illegal alien, who claimed he had the right to bear arms in the commission of a crime.

The second amendment is for AMERICAN people to bear arms, not border jumpers and drug dealers.
