I'm guessing that "all Americans" includes children and the elderly/retired. Do you want to tax them, too? Or are they also "lazy bums"?

52.6% were getting welfare in 2008.

Only a lazy bum accepts welfare unless they have health issues that prevent them from working.

Most welfare cases are healthy enough to work.

Noone is talking about "banning" private insurance. *Noone*. The idea is to offer a public plan. If you would rather pay more for your private insurance noone will stop you.
Please don't fall for this line of BS. In theory, you're correct that the (D)'s Healthcare plan will not formally outlaw Private Insurance. But, the tables will be so tilted (be it fines, lower rates for the Public Plan, etc) that, over time, the balance of power will shift more and more towards the Government Healthcare plan. It may never get to the stage where ALL private Healthcare Insurance ceases to exist, but Government's control over the Healthcare will continue to grow with time.

A LOT of people are going to lose the private Healthcare insurance that most of them are very happy with.

Wait - you were saying that the 45% of all Americans who didn't pay taxes puts us over the top. It sounds to me like YOU want them to pay taxes. Is that not true? If not, what's your purpose in quoting that figure? Shouldn't you be quoting a figure which only includes working people who aren't paying taxes (not sure how large a figure that is).

No it's not; which article and section of the Constitution says this?

I think your statistics are a little skewed. Could you post a link to prove this?

Do not put words into my mouth.

45% DO NOT PAY A DIME INTO THE TAX BASE.

Every single person 18 to retirement should pay something INTO the system.

And yes, check it out, 45% is correct. That is why Obama was lying when he said 95% of all Americans would get a tax break. What he kinda lied to you about is it is impossible since almost half do not pay a dime into it so they surely the heck cannot get a break.
