NEW YORK -- Anti-abortion leaders voiced concern Sunday that the Obama administration and other Democrats may try to capitalize on the murder of Dr. George Tiller to defuse the abortion issue in upcoming Supreme Court confirmation hearings.

Many anti-abortion groups condemned the killing of Tiller, a prominent abortion provider who was shot dead at his church in Wichita, Kan. But they expressed concern that abortion-rights activists would use the occasion to brand the entire anti-abortion movement as extremist.

Many anti-abortion people are giggling with glee right here on the forums. They should be scared.

Not all of them though. The people who applaud this may be anti-abortion, but it doesn't make them pro-life.

Thank you. That's exactly what I said on the other thread. I'm pro-life as it applies to the unborn AND the born. I find the murderer's conduct deplorable and would love for him to spend the rest of his life in a cell.

Anyone who applauds the murder is not, in fact, pro-life at all.

But most aren't. Frankly I suspect that the ones that are are most likely trolling for kicks.
But of course there are always some sick b****ards in any bunch, so who knows?

At anyrate, Tillers murder was nothing short of murder and there can never be any excuse or justification for murder. If anyone says differently then they themselves are suspect of being complete loons.

As to politicians making hay of this murder --- of course they will. Politicians of both parties are essentially wh***s looking for money/power/votes. I'm surprised some of them haven't come out with press conferences and releases yet.

Although I agree that most say they don't approve, many of them will still talk the talk that causes other people to take this kind of action. Then sit back and claim they would never do that while taking no responsibility for helping create the situation.

They are. The giggling is no more than a nervous tic.

Kill a doctor....start a thread on how persecuted Christians are...LOL

It never fails!

The man hasn't even been buried yet and the right wing media is trying to make political lemonade with his death.

Be afraid! Be very afraid! Obama wants to get us for this!

The only one "capitalizing" on this tragedy is the Anti-Abortion crowd you has already cranked up the persecution complex.
