I was reading some about the resolution pushed by republicans to rename the "Democratic Party" the "Socialist Democratic Party"

And I thought... Why don't we do the same?
What name would be more appropriate for the republican party?

I have to agree, it's difficult to pick one.

I think the one that fits them the best is "The Anti-Education Party"
I can't believe that everysingle republican talk-radio person praises common sense every single day and talk about scientists as if they were talking about some guys that make up theories at will.

Good points...But it is Rush Limbaughs party. Just ask Boehner or Steele.

I know what you mean, so many good choices, so few opportunities to pick.

The difference here...with all deference to the probably tongue-in-cheek attempt at humor, is that the Democrats are demonstrably proposing socialist policies and have an agenda that is moving the country to a socialist system. So while renaming the party is silly, at least there is some basis in fact. The silly attempts at humor in this poll are just typical liberal blah, blah, blah.

Do you good liberals deny that the Democrats are leaning to and proposing a socialist society? Look at all the new healthcare and other "programs" proposed by Obama, along with the new owner of Government Motors. There is hard evidence to substantiate the argument, versus the name calling in this thread....but what else is new.
