this is a question for you union supporters. first off, what is a "livable" wage? if a "livable" wage is say, $15 per hour, should a part time 15 year old in BFE west virginia get that same $15 per hour?

It depends on where you live. In Kentucky $15 would be livable. IN NYC, probably double that. Most teens work only part time but they need their money too. Have you went to the movies lately? I went to see Star Trek and it cost me $20 for 2 tickets! Plus many of them have to pay for clothes, school stuff, cell phones and some have cars which are not cheap to maintain and insure. So whatever money they get they deserve.

Who told you that everybody should make the same amount? I have been a member of a union for 8 years and we base our pay on seniority and position within the company. Not equal pay for everybody? Is that what you think Unions are??
I think a liveable wage is enough for your family to afford a used cheap car, healthy groceries, and a small apartment, raising 2 kids, and having health care for everyone without both parents having to work.

I've aspired enough not to live in a dump like Staten Island.
See typical liberal anger....why are you lefties so mad..you have the White house,Sen and Congress..why so mad.
I guess you should go back to your "small apt"..I ll sleep in my Private house
Anger? No I think it's funny that you consider someone who states his opinion of what a liveable wage should be is considered by you to be at a liveable wage themselves.
That's what right winger do right? When they start making some good money they start feeling superior to those making less.
