Now, back to the main focus, did Obama pull the trigger, or did he sit and wait for it to be done, and then jump on board. Did he wait to see if it was successful before deciding whether to condemn it or take credit?
Or would you rather just try to find a misspelling in the post to point out and try to redirect?
The President took no credit for the successful action. As I recall he gave all of the credit to the ship's captain, crew and Navy.
If by 'did Obama pull the trigger', you are asking did the President give the order to use force, yes, he did, as is/was required by law (I know, a unique concept after the last eight years).
There was no American loss of life, so, overall, I'd say it was a successful mission.
That conflict could have been over long before it was by shooting them earlier. They waited and waited on his approval, finally said screw it and did what they're trained to do, and the PR machine went into action to make it look like he was a hero.
Those marines did what they're trained to do. Obama tried to jump on their coattails.
Not to be nitpicky, but it was the Navy Seals; BIG difference.
Please give quotes. Opinion really shouldnt count here. We're all grownups, mostly; we should al at least be able to cite our sources.
are you kidding
Barack Obama should stop apologising for America
No leader in American history has gone to greater lengths than Barack Obama to make amends for his own country. From condemnation of American “arrogance” in a speech in Strasbourg to acknowledging U.S. “mistakes” before millions of Muslims on Arab television, Obama has rarely missed an opportunity to apologise for the actions of the American people.
President Obama has elevated the art of national self-loathing to new heights, and seems to delight in prostrating the most powerful nation on the face of the earth before its critics and rivals, especially on foreign soil.
The Obama worldview revolves around the central premise that the United States must be humble and “engage” and work with its enemies through the application of “smart power”.
There is nothing smart, however, in appeasing rogue states such as North Korea or Iran.
