yeah, rationalization ALWAYS works with these people. They will stop fighting because of a westerners "pretty" words.

Next he'll make a speech and ask North Korea to play nice and put down the boom boom.

Churchill was not only politician he was an officer in the Army. I hold that in higher regard then someone from Havard with a law degree telling me what my aspirations should be.

other wise- I listen say yeah thats great and remember a poltician is speaking.

Im sure people yawned when Churchill said his little manipulative statement, too. He was voted out right after the war.

The depth of mistrust between the Arab and American worlds is deep and, as Obama said, a single speech will not heal it.

I felt this was a strong step in the right direction though. He knows his global upbringing and hybrid cultural background is an asset no other president has possessed, and he is using it to its full advantage. He speaks with an honesty often missing in politics, and that must be recognized by all sides on some level.

Let us hope his administration will plant a seed for eventual peace and collaboration. That is probably the best for which we can hope, and it is surely a noble cause.

The people ecstatically dancing in Obama's father's Kenyan village the night he was elected have a very different perspective than you.

If you ever need an example of what aspirations can achieve in the matter of 2 generations, I can't think of a strong example than our president.
