Yeah I am sure you were one of those who excused Bush for his mispoken words.
If it's just a misspoken word, sure, a nice laugh on a clip on the nightly news and move on. I surely wouldn't be bringing it up and obsessing over it a year later. I also never called him names. It's a bit immature, IMO.
Now, actually not knowing what he was talking about is a different story. Yeah, I would look at that and say, "wait a second, this is wrong".
Do you believe that Obama truly thought there were 57 States? To debate his policies, to debate his knowledge on a particular subject, fine... but to use that as some sort of proof he is incompetent is a little much.
I had a great Uncle, that I never referred to as "Great Uncle Bob", he was simply "Uncle Bob". That's not exactly Obama rewriting history.
Yeah, 57 instead of 47. Honestly, you honestly think Obama thought there were 57 States? This is just petty.
No, I'm talking about the time he was in South Dakota and said he was happy to be in Sioux Falls.
I did say he will rewrite history to fit his circumstances. Where have you been? A year ago he was defending Rev. Wright and could "no sooner disown him than he could a member of his own family." Then Wright became an albatross and the rest is history. Obama has a history of using this mode of operation in Illinois state government as well. He is an opportunist.
People would have been all over anyone else from either party who had made the same foolish mistakes in speaking or showing their lack of knowledge. We all know he gets a pass from the media, but during the Bush administration, it was constant fodder for those on this board.
So I guess what is "good for the goose is good for the gander."

Sounds like the " I am The Decider" speech just before Rummy got chucked under the Greyhound.
